The amenities of the Inn provide diversions for guests and encourage them to come out of their rooms. A small library on the second floor of the Inn includes a wide assortment of books including fiction and non-fiction.

Most of the books can be borrowed by guests with a simple promise of returning someday with a book. Read in the library, your guest room or in the great room pictured here.
The Great Room with its inviting floor to ceiling river rock fireplace is an inviting place to relax, view the surrounding scenery, or visit with other guests.

Loft over the Great Room |
Sliding doors on either side offer access to the Inn's spacious porches where you can look for wildlife or simply enjoy the natural beauty of the great Idaho outdoors.
The loft overlooks the Great Room and offers a bird's eye view of the river and surrounding area from the room's floor to ceiling windows.

Dining Room |

The large dining room (pictured above) with it's eastern exposure provides the perfect setting for breakfast in the morning. Listen to the morning birds sing while a few find the bird feeder just outside the dining room windows.
The dining room has a large farm-style table as well as two small tables for two to four guests. A small refrigerator has sodas, juice, beer, and wine for guests. Hot drinks are also available.
In this photograph, guests enjoy a delicious gourmet breakfast in the sunny dining room. The Blue Heron Inn provides homemade entrees including specialties like quiche, stuffed French toast, omelets, frittatas and more. Try the homemade cookies in the cookie jar!

A game area includes numerous board and card games including chess, Scrabble, dominos, Monopoly, Pictionary, and Trivial Pursuit.
A beautiful regulation pool table is located in the Inn's daylight basement. Inn guests frequently enjoy a competitive game of pool in the evening.
